Enjoy being a Mother..

From the moment you find out you are pregnant the joy begins. Your heart races with excitement and anticipation. You automatically begin to plan. You lay in bed at night and dream of what your baby will look like, act like, grow up to be and of course, … will he or she look like me? Of course you begin to dream, you are now a Mom.

A Mother is the fixer of all things. She is the taxi driver, the boo-boo healer, the loudest fan, the adviser and the core of the home. Mothers do not receive any monetary compensation however the joy of seeing your child is payment enough. She smiles when she has to but at times cries at night when problems occur. She is involved and evolves as the children grow. There is no greater love than a Mother.

Just as Washington Irving wrote: “A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts”.

She volunteers, helps with homework, gives the vitamins and looks ahead to a great future for her children. She is the all of everything.

We all have a Mother whether she is near or far, or here or in Heaven. Whether we came out of our Mother’s body or whether we were adopted, we have a Mother. A Mother’s love is never ending and unconditional.

Lee Ann Womack’s song, “I hope you dance” puts Mother’s dreams for her child into words “I hope you still feel small, When you stand by the ocean, Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens ~Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance ……… I hope you dance”!

This Mother’s Day enjoy who you are, why you are here and know that you loved. Spend the day with your children and family and celebrate the joy of being a Mother.

From Tiny Dimples to Mother’s everywhere ~
Happy Mother’s Day!
